EltaMD is the #1 most recommended, trusted and personally used sunscreen brand in the US and it’s a big deal when the pros prefer EltaMD. We created the DermDifference brand platform to highlight the importance of dermatologists’ voices and expertise in the skincare category and why EltaMD SPF products are set apart from the rest Through this platform, we created a series called ‘Skin Stories’ in partnership with Hearst Media to capture the humanity and expertise of derms through their personal storytelling and recommendations.

EltaMD saw and understood the gap in effective and conscious mineral hybrid spfs for skin of color. So they worked with Dr. Deon Hines, Ph.D., a Colgate-Palmolive Principal Scientist, passionate about creating products that work for all skin tones. She worked with her teammates to develop this breakthrough formula that provides full sun defense without leaving a white cast. It works across multiple deeper skintones, even as a mineral hybrid SPF.
